11/7/15 First basketball games are on Saturday beginning at 9:00 am.
WMS A TEAM VS STANFIELD A TEAM 9:00 am UPPER GYM
WMS C TEAM VS STANFIELD B TEAM 10:00 am LOWER GYM
WMS B TEAM VS HELIX 11:00 am UPPER GYM
A Team won both of their games. B Team played tough but lost to Stanfield B Team. The boys played extremely well, and I'm very proud of their character on the court. Our next competition is against Helix on Thursday, Nov. 12th. at Weston Middle School.
11/14/15 Basketball team went to Irrigon. B Team beat Heppner in the first game...Echo in the second and lost to Irrigon in the third game. Boys played extremely well against some very tough competition.
I cut and delivered my last load of wood yesterday...It snowed a little on me. Cut up elk...have about 50 pounds to go to the smoke house for pepperoni.
Been a while since I've updated my blog...sorry about that. Basketball season is over with our final game being canceled due to a snow day. The boys finished with .500 record of 8 wins and 8 losses. It was a great season for me...I enjoyed it very much. Christmas break was fast. Got to do some duck hunting with my brother. Delaynee got her first shot at a duck with her 20 guage...knocked a few feathers out but the bird kept going. She won the Milton Freewater hoopshoot last weekend for the 8-9 year olds so is shooting in Hermiston this Sunday. End of the semester is next week...half way through my first year here at WMS. It's been good.
ReplyDeleteWell, Delaynee participated in the District Hoopshoot in Hermiston. She earned 3rd place out of the 5 students that competed in her age group. She didn't shoot as well as she did last week, but there was a lot of people in the stands watching so I'm sure she was very nervous. I'm very proud of her for trying her hardest. I told her that we'll practice a little more for next year.
